Lisa Rhodes began her career in Austin, sharing the stage both locally and nationally with artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joan Jett, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Joe Ely. She also performed and recorded with The Neville Brothers, co-writing a song, "The Dealer", included on two of their CDs. Lisa R & The Lucky Stars has allowed her to return to the musical roots of her youth in South Texas, where she grew up listening to Tejano, Czech and Cosmic Country music. Lisa relocated to Durham in 2012.

Leslie%20Land2_edited.jpg

A founding member of Southern Culture on the Skids, Leslie has been a working musician in the North Carolina Triangle for over 25 years. She had played with a wide range of artists and bands, including Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos, The Beauty Operators, Rebecca Newton, Scott Sawyer, Eugene Chadbourne, Sleepy Labeef, Nancy Middleton, Michael Kelsh and Jumpin’ Johhny Sansone. In addition to teaching bass and voice, she works as a studio musician and does voiceover work for area radio stations.

Elana

What Elana Scheiner enjoys most is playing cello outside the box, in all genres that aren’t classical. To that end, seventeen years ago, she began to cello in local Triangle bands (Shades of Winter, Mystery Road, Puritan Rodeo) and duos (Something Candid and Anna Rose Beck). She has also done studio work for local singer-songwriters. Currently, she plays with singer songwriter Mysti Mayhem and for the holidays sits in with a nearby Trans-Siberian Orchestra tribute band.  She is excited to make her debut as a Lucky Star!
